Job Summary:
We are seeking dependable and hardworking Manufacturing Associate in the Waukegan area. This position is responsible for assisting with the preparation, handling, packaging, and shipment of vanilla extract products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The position requires direct contact with vanilla materials and ingredients, operation of production equipment, and frequent heavy lifting.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm
Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
Pay Rate: $17/hr
Key Responsibilities:
- Package, label, and prepare vanilla extract products for shipment according to company standards
- Handle raw vanilla materials and finished vanilla extract products throughout the production process
- Operate and monitor filling, bottling, sealing, labeling, and packing equipment
- Load and unload raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of production equipment and work areas
- Inspect products for quality, accuracy, and packaging integrity
- Maintain accurate production and inventory records
- Follow all food safety, GMP, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
- Assist with warehouse organization and inventory movement as needed
- Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or product inconsistencies to supervisors promptly
Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move up to 50–75 pounds regularly throughout the shift
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods
- Comfortable working around strong vanilla aromas and direct contact with vanilla products daily
- Ability to work in warm or fast-paced production environments
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
- Willing to adhere to GMPs and company policies
- Ability to work in a team environment
Working Conditions:
- Fast-paced production and warehouse environment
- Standing, bending, and repetitive motions throughout the shift
- Must be comfortable working around food products and following strict cleanliness standards
- GMP compliance is mandatory
