Job Title: Injection Molding Operator
Job Summary: The Injection Molding Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic parts. This role involves setting up equipment, ensuring production runs smoothly, conducting inspections, and following all safety and quality standards. Job located in Lake Zurich, IL.
Schedule: 6:00am to 2:30pm (1st day training at 7:30am)
Payrate: $17/hr
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor injection molding machines and related equipment.
- Load raw materials into machines and maintain proper material levels.
- Perform machine start-ups, shut-downs, and basic adjustments as needed.
- Inspect finished parts for quality, ensuring they meet specifications.
- Identify, report, and correct any defects or production issues.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Assist with machine setup and mold changes when required.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and minor maintenance on equipment.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goal.
 
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in injection molding, manufacturing, or machine operation (preferred but not always required).
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, diagrams, and production documents.
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment and follow safety guidelines.
 
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing/production floor environment.
- Exposure to machinery, noise, and moving parts.
- May require shift work, overtime, or weekends depending on production needs.
