We are currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for a facility in Niles, IL. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with mechanical maintenance experience who are looking for competitive pay and a stable work environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Inspect equipment to identify potential issues and complete necessary repairs.
- Maintain maintenance records and documentation.
- Ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and company policies.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.
- Keep maintenance areas clean and organized.
Work hours
- Hours may vary based on production needs and schedule requirements.
- OT may be required during busy season.
- Starting pay: $26.00/hour and up, based on experience.
Requirements
- Previous maintenance mechanic experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
